Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – John’s Birthday Party Ceilidh – June 2026
We booked Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a Birthday Party with a mixed age group of family and friends. They were great with a special mention to Jennie (the caller) who really worked hard getting us to do the different dances. Everyone really enjoyed the dances and had a lot of fun! I mustn’t forget Jon
and Mike who provided the music.
I can’t say enough good things about them – just to say that if you book them you will have a great time!

Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Katherine’s 50th Birthday Party Party – May 2026
We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for my 50th birthday and absolutely loved it. Everyone joined in with the dancing and all the dances were explained really well so it was easy to involve everyone – even the children!
It was during the immense heatwave that we had in May but this didn’t stop us or the band from having a lot of fun! Thank you so much for an amazing day. We would definitely hire them again.

We enjoyed having Black Velvet at our wedding party to play two sets of Ceilidh dancing. The guests thoroughly enjoyed dancing to the music after being taught the dances. Even our four year niece joined in with some of the dancing! The band were prompt to set up and we enjoyed the live music.

We hired Black Velvet Band to play for our joint 80th birthday celebration at our local golf club. We had a big range of age groups present, and the band and the caller seemed to hit the right spot to get the whole party going!
