Along with the two musicians, the band includes a dance-caller who will walk you through the dances and call the moves when the music strikes up. Don’t worry if you’ve never danced before - the caller will start with easy dances and will make sure that you don't end up in too much of a tangle!

Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio were brilliant at our son’s wedding. They arrived promptly, set up without any fuss, played two brilliant sets , were very generous with their time and got everyone dancing. Mike called the dances clearly and gave people chance to have a quick practice. Mike encouraged everyone and the dance floor never emptied.
The band really helped make the wedding very special.
